To strengthen original research in foundational disciplines like mathematics and foster a proper understanding and enthusiasm for modern math among adolescents, BNBU has optimized the construction of a high-level Mathematics Science Education Base with the support of the Zhuhai Science and Technology Innovation Bureau.
Guided by experts including Academician Tang Tao, Professor Lin Ya'nan from Xiamen University, and Professor Cao Yiming from Beijing Normal University, the development and construction of the Mathematics Science Education Base have been strategically planned and directed.
The BNBU Math Zone, located on the BNBU campus, officially opened in May 2021. It offers free admission to the public in Zhuhai. Opening hours are 9:00 am–12:00 pm and 2:00 pm–5:00 pm, every Wednesday and Saturday.
The BNBU Math Zone has been recognized as a “Mathematics Popularization Base by the Chinese Mathematical Society”, a “Zhuhai City Science Education Base”, and a “Zhuhai High-Tech Zone Off-Campus Education Base for Primary and Secondary Schools.”
Spanning over 350 square meters, the zone is divided into four areas:
Interactive Exhibition Zone
Educational Puzzle and Toy Zone
Open Classroom
Sand Table Classroom
Equipped with science education facilities, the zone provides experiential learning through interactive activities, allowing visitors to explore the connections between mathematics and geometry, images, art, and more, and to appreciate the beauty and joy of mathematics.
Interactive Exhibition Zone
In the Interactive Exhibition Zone, visitors can engage with tools such as 3D printers, AR formula projections, mathematical modeling software, and math games, experiencing the beauty and practical applications of mathematics through electronic interaction.

Educational Puzzle and Toy Zone
The Educational Puzzle and Toy Zone is stocked with hundreds of diverse mathematical puzzles and popular science books on mathematics. It includes classic toys such as the Chinese Sliding Block Puzzle (Huarong Dao), the Nine Linked Rings, and Tangram.
Here, visitors can not only experience the joy of mathematics but also enhance their concentration and cultivate their thinking skills through hands-on and mentally engaging activities.

Open Classroom and Table Classroom
The Open Classroom and Sand Table Classroom primarily serve as venues for science education activities. They are utilized for science education programs for primary and secondary schools, popular science lectures, as well as independent immersive experiences.

As a Mathematics Science Education Base, the BNBU Math Zone has organized multiple science education activities, including school-based science education programs, expert-led lectures in primary and secondary schools, and other reservation-based visits.
As of December 2025, the museum has hosted a total of 590 reservation-based visits and science education activities, benefiting over 27,000 participants. During this period, it has received consistent praise from numerous principals, teachers, and parents in Zhuhai.
