Lang Qixu is the Founder and CEO of Tide, an app dedicated to creating “a mindful space that returns to nature” for its users. He was named one of Bloomberg Businessweek's 50 People to Watch in 2024. Previously, he worked as a Product Manager at Alibaba and Kingsoft, where he accumulated years of experience in mobile internet product development and design. During his university years, he was first introduced to mindfulness meditation, an experience that later became the core inspiration for his product innovation. In 2016, he founded Tide, an app designed to help users relax, focus, meditate, and sleep better, with the goal of providing a space for people in today's fast-paced world to find peace, reconnect with nature, and with themselves.

Lang upholds a product philosophy centered on “time well spent and meaningful experiences”, emphasizing emotional design and Calm Technology. He believes that in the digital age, what is truly lacking is not another product designed to capture more of users’ attention, but rather a digital sanctuary that helps people calm down, relax, and rest. His team is dedicated to integrating technology, design, and the ancient wisdom of mindfulness to create an innovative experience that fosters balance and awareness.
