Development History

Initiated in 2015, the Maker Centre officially commenced operations on May 23, 2018. It is managed and operated by the Innovation Centre of Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University, dedicated to building a mass innovation platform for university students that deeply integrates entrepreneurial resources among Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan".


Platform Positioning

As a public welfare, exemplary and professional entrepreneurship incubation platform, the Maker Centre integrates policy research, entrepreneurship training and comprehensive services, providing high-quality entrepreneurship environment and resource support for teachers and students on campus, and continuously enhancing the innovation capabilities of university students.


Space Scale

· Total area: 2,480 square meters
· Incubation space: 2,030 square meters (including public service areas)
· Incubation capacity: For 53 start-up teams


Incubation Overview

As of March 2025, a total of 117 start-up enterprises (projects) have been incubated (including 7 enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, and 1 foreign-funded enterprise), with 37 enterprises (projects) currently in incubation.


Qualification and Honors

· October 2022: Designated as 'Zhuhai Municipal Entrepreneurship Incubation Base'

· December 2024: Received an "Excellent" rating in the municipal re-evaluation.
